Project Goal
The Urban Resilience Project was based on interventions to generate livelihood
opportunities and improve living conditions for the targeted group.

- Develop resilient livelihoods through capacity building and development of market linkages.

Project Outcome/Output
- Waste management skill training benefiting 200 individuals (91% female).
- 200 individuals trained in organic waste management and 200 compost bins distributed.
- 1919 buildings in ward-3 were mapped in Godawari Municipality and situation analysis report developed.
- Established a labor bank and provided to local government which identified 327 skilled labors.
- 106 waste workers received Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sets.
Project Description
The project was developed with the aim to develop sustainable interventions to build
Urban Resilience in Nepal. This project was focused on building the resilience of the
urban ultra-poor by working on livelihood general, capacity building, improving access to
finance and services and by implementing the circular economy approach in plastic
waste recycling value chain. The project aimed to empower women and other
vulnerable groups of Godawari Municipality ward no. 3.
