Project Inception Meetings in Kathariya Municipality, Rautahat and Gosaikunda Rural Municipality, Rasuwa

On Thursday, 23rd April 2026, CLEAN UP NEPAL successfully conducted Project Inception Meetings in Kathariya Municipality, Rautahat and Gosaikunda Rural Municipality गोसाईकुण्ड गाउँपालिका, Rasuwa under the project “Building a Circular and Resilient Vulnerable Community through Waste Innovation”, with the support of Standard Chartered Nepal.

At Kathariya Municipality, the meeting was held in the presence of Acting Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, Education Section Chief Mr. Surendra Thakur, and other municipal stakeholders. A total of 22 participants attended, including 2 female participants. The session was facilitated by Project Coordinator Mr. Prem Prakash Nepali.

Similarly, in Gosaikunda Rural Municipality, the inception meeting brought together 13 participants, including 4 female participants. The meeting was honored by the presence of Chairperson Mr. Kaisang Nurpu Tamang, Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Suresh Bhattarai, Section Officer Mr. Krishna Bahadur BK, and representatives from Langtang National Park, INGOs, and NGOs. The session was facilitated by Project Coordinator Ms. Karuna Thapa.

These inception meetings mark an important step towards strengthening collaboration with local governments and stakeholders to promote circular practices and build resilient communities through innovative waste management solutions.
