Community Clean-Up Campaign under Green Nepalgunj Project – Ward 9
On 7th December 2025, a community clean-up campaign was successfully conducted in Banke gaun , Ward 9, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City – नेपालगन्ज उपमहानगरपालिका under the Green Nepalgunj: Community Waste Transformation Project, funded byThe Coca-Cola Company ( The Coca-Cola Foundation). Mr. Govinda Bahadur Regmi, Chairperson of ward-9 also joined the campaign and urged the community to step forward to clean the surrounding.
The event was organized by BAS Nepal with technical support from CLEAN UP NEPAL and in collaboration with Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City – नेपालगन्ज उपमहानगरपालिका, bringing together enthusiastic community members dedicated to keeping their surroundings clean and healthy.
Total Waste Collected: 120.59 kg, including:
Plastic Wrappers: 9.16 kg
Glass: 10.45 kg
Metals: 1.98 kg
Mixed Waste: 99 kg
Recyclable waste was safely sorted and stored for further processing, while non-recyclable materials were handed over to the city’s waste management center.
