CLEAN UP NEPAL Completed Two Days Orientation for 15 Trainers about ZWAS
As part of the RIVER+ project, CLEAN UP NEPAL completed a two-day orientation for 15 trainers about the Zero Waste at Schools (ZWAS) program on May 1st and 2nd, 2024.The trainers received comprehensive training on waste management practices, waste composition, waste segregation, waste hierarchy, and the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3-Rs). These trainers will collaborate closely with ten community schools located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Lalitpur Metropolitan City to conduct Zero Waste at Schools program as children are the key agents of change.
River+ project is supported by the World Bank through Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia(PLEASE Project), which is implemented by South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme with support from UNOPS Sri Lanka. The project is led by Biocomp Nepal in partnership with People in Need Nepal and CLEAN UP NEPAL.
