CLEAN UP NEPAL and DDS Celebrate World Environment Day with Cleanup in Kapurkot

On World Environment Day, CLEAN UP NEPAL, in collaboration with the Dalit Development Society (DDS) and supported by IM Swedish Development Partner, organized a successful cleanup event in Kapurkot Rural Municipality. Held in ward 3, Kapurkot Bazaar, and ward 6, the event saw 186 participants actively collect 242.33 kg of waste. This included 39.67 kg of plastic waste, 79.95 kg of plastic wrappers, 40.57 kg of glass bottles, and 69.5 kg of mixed waste.Celebrating the auspicious day under the theme “Our Land, Our Future,” the event aimed to promote climate justice and protect the rights of youth and women facing multiple layers of discrimination.
