Shraban Kumar Basnet is a committed professional with eight years of practical experience in natural resources management, wildlife conservation, sustainable forestry, and the development of community-based enterprises. His expertise spans areas such as gender and social inclusion (GESI), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing technologies, and climate change adaptation and mitigation. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Kathmandu Forestry College and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Natural Resource and Development from Nepal Open University, Shraban effectively combines academic knowledge with hands-on experience to advance environmental conservation and community development efforts.

Throughout his career, Shraban has excelled in roles such as Field Project Coordinator, Forest Expert, Sustainable Forest Management Analyst, and Program Officer. His skills include project coordination, environmental impact assessment, capacity building, and promoting sustainable forest management practices. He has worked in diverse regions, organizing workshops, conducting field surveys, and supporting climate change adaptation projects. His work has contributed significantly to improving livelihoods, advancing gender equality, and establishing value chains for non-timber forest products.
