Residents in Ghorai Empowered with Composting Skills and Waste Management Technology

In a groundbreaking initiative to promote sustainable waste management, @clean_up_nepal recently conducted hands-on composting training for residents of Ghorai Sub-Metropolitan City. Over 2,500 participants gained valuable knowledge on turning organic waste into compost, a vital resource for local agriculture. The training aims to reduce waste, support farming, and foster a cleaner, greener Nepal.

In addition to the training, the Safa Nepal app was introduced, enabling users to report waste issues directly from their mobile devices. With the app available on both the Play Store and App Store, managing waste has become more accessible and efficient for Ghorai’s residents.

This initiative was made possible through a collaborative effort involving Ghorai Sub-Metropolitan, the Federal Kamalari Development Forum, and @clean_up_nepal, with generous support from @imsweden. Together, these organizations are driving positive environmental change and empowering communities to tackle waste management challenges effectively.

Residents are encouraged to download the Safa Nepal app and join the movement toward a sustainable future.
