Pabitra Lamichhane is an MPhil-PhD scholar of Sociology. She has a major research interest in studying disasters by using a sociological perspective. She had completed her MA dissertation in “The Social Causes of Disaster: A Case Study of Flood in Bhaktapur” under the thesis supervision of Prof. Dr. Surendra Mishra. Her major work proficiency lies in carrying out qualitative research studies. She has been awarded with, “Nepal Sociological Association Dissertation Award 2021.” Moreover, she is also interested in broader themes like gender, climate change, and social change. Before joining as a social mobilizer, she served as a trainer for Zero Waste at School (ZWAS) in Clean Up Nepal, with her worksite focused in Kuleshwor Secondary School, Kathmandu.
