Milan Kharal has been actively working for nearly two decades to promote the inclusion, capacity development, sustainable economic empowerment, and participation in the decision-making role of persons with disabilities. As a person with a physical disability himself, he is a passionate and dedicated advocate for ensuring the meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects. He became involved with Clean Up Nepal to contribute to environmental initiatives in Nepal and actively participated in local activities in Chitwan. While with the Chitwan chapter of Clean Up Nepal, he conducted training programs on environmental protection, sustainable development, and sanitation, raising community awareness and promoting accountability as well media mobilization for establish environmental issues in local level. Milan also works extensively in disability inclusion, providing training to both persons with and without disabilities, and collaborates with local-level Organizations of Persons with Disabilities to promote disability-inclusive climate action and ensure persons with disabilities have a voice in decision-making.
