Her Safety Training: Empowering Women Informal Waste Workers
Our Her Safety training empowers women informal waste workers (IWWs) to confront unique challenges such as O𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. In a recent session on safe migration, we equipped 45 women with essential knowledge and skills.
Participants expressed confusion about the migration process, often relying on quick fixes. This training clarified the concept of safe migration, provided insights into labour migration in Nepal, and addressed foreign employment opportunities, challenges, national laws, and mental health considerations.
