Enhancing Waste Management: Baling Machine Handed Over in Kapilvastu

CLEAN UP NEPAL has successfully handed over a baling machine to Bishwonath Chamar, owner of Sanjay Kabad Centre in Kapilvastu Municipality, Ward No. 1, Hulaki Chowk.

This machine, designed to compress cardboard and plastic waste, addresses a major challenge Mr. Chamar previously faced in transporting large quantities of uncompressed plastic bottles. With this new baling machine, waste volume is significantly reduced, enabling easier transportation and larger shipments, ultimately improving waste collection efficiency.

This initiative was made possible through a collaborative effort involving Kapilvastu Municipality, the Dalit Social Development Center (DSDC), and CLEAN UP NEPAL, with support from IM Swedish Development Partner.

By equipping local waste collectors with essential tools, this project enhances waste management and recycling efficiency, fostering a cleaner and more sustainable community.
