Empowering Youth Leaders: CLEAN UP NEPAL Conducts Leadership Training in Ghorahi
On May 24, 2025, CLEAN UP NEPAL successfully conducted a one-day Leadership Development Training for Eco-Club members and youth in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City (घोराही उप-महानगरपालिका). This initiative aimed to empower the next generation of leaders with the skills needed to drive positive change in their communities.
A total of 29 participants took part in the training, including 23 females and 6 males—a strong female turnout that highlighted the growing role of young women in leadership and social engagement. The training focused on key areas such as self-awareness, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and event planning. Participants also explored different leadership styles and reflected on how they can contribute to local development.
The sessions were interactive and participatory, encouraging active involvement and collaboration. The training was facilitated by Mr. Prem Prakash Nepali and Mr. Kailash Bikram Shahi, who brought valuable insights and energy to the program.
This event is part of the Intersectional Green Future: Advancing Climate Justice for All project, funded by IM Swedish Development Partner. CLEAN UP NEPAL remains committed to nurturing young leaders who will champion sustainability and climate justice in their communities.
