Empowering Women Informal Waste Workers: Successful Launch of the “Her Safety” Training
We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the first “Her Safety” training under the RIVER+ project! 🌍 This important initiative is dedicated to equipping women informal waste workers with essential knowledge to enhance their safety and well-being, ensuring they are better prepared to navigate both workplace and societal challenges.
During the training, participants gained valuable insights into civil registration, the government bodies involved in these processes, and PAN registration. They also learned about social protection schemes, which include social assistance, social insurance, and labour market components. These sessions are designed to provide the skills and information needed for these women to advocate for their rights and access crucial support systems.
It is truly inspiring to witness these women taking charge of their futures, using their newfound knowledge to navigate societal systems with confidence. Their participation in this training marks a significant step towards creating a safer and more inclusive community. Together, we are working to build an environment where every woman feels supported and empowered.
A heartfelt thank you to all the amazing women who participated and contributed to the success of this event! Let’s continue this journey of empowerment and support, fostering a brighter future for all.
