CLEAN UP NEPAL Promotes Zero Waste Education with Shree Radha Krishna Secondary School
On 6 November 2024, CLEAN UP NEPAL hosted a Zero Waste at School (ZWAS) session at Shree Radha Krishna Secondary School in Temal Rural Municipality, Ward 7, Chapakhori, Kavre District. The session, which engaged 78 students, aimed to educate young minds about sustainable waste management practices. This initiative was generously supported by Bichette Voyage, a team from France.
Following the educational session, a cleanup event was organized at the school and in its surrounding areas. The event drew enthusiastic participation from 115 individuals, including students, teachers, CLEAN UP NEPAL staff, and members of Bichette Voyage. Together, they collected a total of 11 kg of waste, comprising 8 kg of plastic wrappers and 3 kg of plastic bottles.
This impactful program underscores the importance of community collaboration and education in addressing waste management challenges and fostering a cleaner environment. CLEAN UP NEPAL remains committed to empowering communities across the country to adopt sustainable practices.
