CLEAN UP NEPAL Forms Climate Action and Justice Network in Lumbini Province

In celebration of World Environment Day, CLEAN UP NEPAL is proud to announce the formation of the Lumbini Province-level “Climate Action and Justice Network.” This newly established network comprises an 11-member committee led by Namaskar Shah, with members Hemraj Bhatt, Hemantraj Kafle, Khumesh Subedi, Sameer Oli, Sushma Grace, Saru Sunar, Hema Sunar, Luna Budhathoki, Simrat Kaur, and Sushma Bashyal.

The network aims to address policy issues related to environmental protection, waste management, clean air, and climate justice through advocacy and implementation efforts. Operating under the umbrella of CLEAN UP NEPAL (Swach Safa Nepal) Kathmandu, the network will serve as a platform to enhance unity and collaboration in climate and environmental protection initiatives.

Rabindra Lamichhane, Executive Director of CLEAN UP NEPAL, expressed the organization’s commitment to expanding this initiative nationwide by establishing similar networks in other provinces. This effort marks a significant step towards strengthening CLEAN UP NEPAL’s mission to promote environmental sustainability and climate justice across Nepal.
