About Me

Binod (Bindiya) Gautam is a dedicated and experienced human rights advocate and community leader with a strong commitment to promoting the rights, dignity, and inclusion of sexual and gender minorities. With over a decade of active engagement in community-based organizations, Binod has developed extensive expertise in advocacy, stakeholder coordination, and grassroots mobilization. Her work focuses on advancing awareness around gender, sexuality, human rights, and social inclusion, particularly within marginalized communities.

She has been actively associated with organizations such as Blue Diamond Society, Naulo Bihani, and Paribartan Nepal, where she has contributed in various leadership and coordination roles, including serving as President of Naulo Bihani and Human Rights Coordinator at Paribartan Nepal. Through these roles, she has led advocacy initiatives, facilitated training sessions at local government levels, and engaged in policy dialogue with political stakeholders.

Binod’s experience is further strengthened by her participation in numerous trainings related to HIV/AIDS, legal aid, gender and sexuality, leadership, and human rights protection. She is recognized for her strong communication skills, ability to facilitate community sessions, and commitment to empowering vulnerable groups. Her public presence, including media features and recognition such as 1st Runner-up in Miss Pink 2007, reflects her active role in promoting visibility and inclusion.

Currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Prithivi Narayan Campus, Binod continues to enhance her academic and professional competencies. With strong leadership qualities, practical field experience, and a passion for advocacy, she aspires to contribute to impactful initiatives that promote equality, human rights, and social justice.
