CLEAN UP NEPAL Mobilizes Community for Major Clean-Up Drive in Kapilvastu

CLEAN UP NEPAL, in collaboration with Kapilvastu Municipality—including Ward 8 Office, the Dalit Social Development Center (DSDC), and active local community groups—successfully organized a clean-up event in Beluwawa, Ward 8 of Kapilvastu Municipality. The initiative was held in the presence of Ward Member Taramoti Pasi and saw the enthusiastic participation of 73 community members, including 19 males and 54 females. Together, they collected an impressive total of 424 kg of waste, categorized as: 216 kg of mixed waste, 53.5 kg of glass, 6 kg of metal, and 148.5 kg of plastic. Supported by IM Swedish Development Partner, the campaign not only contributed to visibly cleaner surroundings but also fostered greater environmental awareness and community solidarity.
