Community Cleanup Drive in Ward 11, Lalitpur
A cleaner, greener future starts with us! Today, 81 dedicated volunteers, ward officials, and CLEAN UP NEPAL staff successfully conducted a cleanup campaign in Ward 11, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, near UN Park.
A total of 816.162 kg of waste was collected, including:
✅ 616.002 kg of mixed waste
✅ 21.495 kg of PET bottles
✅ 24.3 kg of glass
✅ 10.02 kg of clothes
Juben Tandulkar, Ward Member of Ward 11, expressed his motivation to support such initiatives and pledged to continue efforts at the ward level. Binita Pandey, Project Officer, officially launched the campaign and highlighted its significance.
This initiative is part of the ‘Green Empowerment through Vocational Training for Solid Waste Management in Lalitpur (GEMS-L)’ project, funded by the State Office for Development Cooperation (LEZ), supported by BGZ Berliner Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit mbH, and implemented by CLEAN UP NEPAL.
