Jana Prabhat Secondary School Joins the Zero Waste at Schools Initiative under the RIVER+ Project
The Zero Waste at Schools (ZWAS) initiative under the RIVER+ project has successfully expanded to Jana Prabhat Secondary School, located in Kalimati, Kathmandu, Ward 13, making it the 10th school to adopt this program. The campaign, part of the broader Social Behavior Change Campaign, aims to instill sustainable waste management practices among students.
The session commenced with an introduction to the RIVER+ project and the objectives of the ZWAS initiative. Principals, vice principals, teachers, and members of the environmental club actively participated in the session. ZWAS trainers engaged students in interactive activities, educating them on waste and effective waste management practices, ensuring the message of zero waste is understood and embraced within the school community.
