Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Child Protection

CLEAN UP NEPAL is committed to integrating Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Child Protection into all waste management, climate action, and environmental programs. Our strategy ensures gender-responsive and inclusive interventions, promoting equitable access to resources, leadership opportunities, and livelihood support for women, gender and sexual minorities, marginalized groups, and persons with disabilities. Programs are designed with inclusive policies, affirmative action, and intersectional approaches, ensuring no discrimination, equitable beneficiary selection, and safeguarding of vulnerable populations.
In line with child protection principles, CLEAN UP NEPAL prevents child labor, prohibits engagement of staff or volunteers under 18 years, and integrates child rights awareness in all activities. Trainers and staff receive orientation on child safety, consent, and policy adherence.
By combining inclusive program design, capacity building, advocacy, and safeguarding measures, CLEAN UP NEPAL promotes safe, equitable, and empowering environments where communities, children, and vulnerable groups can participate fully and benefit sustainably from environmental, waste management, and climate initiatives.
