About Me

Anita Acharya is a motivated and community-oriented professional with hands-on experience in community mobilization, waste management, recycling, upcycling, and traditional craft development. She has been actively engaged in promoting sustainable environmental practices and strengthening community participation through local-level development initiatives.

She has worked extensively in Ward No. 29, Pokhara Metropolitan City, where she has contributed to mobilizing community members for environmental awareness programs, facilitating group discussions, and coordinating with local government bodies and development organizations. As a Master Trainer under the UNDP/KOICA GCRU Project, she has led community awareness sessions on recycling and upcycling, contributing to sustainable solid waste management initiatives.

Anita has also received specialized training in Solid Waste Management, Recycling & Upcycling through a Training of Trainers (TOT) program under the GCRU project. In addition, she has completed a 7-day training on traditional Chura Pote making, strengthening her skills in local craftsmanship and women’s economic empowerment activities.

With strong skills in community facilitation, training delivery, and stakeholder coordination, she is committed to contributing to sustainable development, environmental conservation, and community empowerment initiatives.
