Installation of Waste Bins and Awareness Hoarding Boards along Langtang National Park Trails
Five metal waste bins and six awareness hoarding boards have been installed along the popular hiking trails of Langtang National Park to promote cleaner and more responsible trekking. The metal bins and hoarding boards are placed at Bamboo, Lama Hotel, Ghodatabela, Langtang, and Kyanjin. This will support hikers in properly managing their waste, helping reduce litter along the route.
The hoarding boards carry important messages on waste management and environmental conservation, encouraging trekkers to protect the fragile mountain ecosystem.
This initiative has been carried out under the project Circular Economy Approaches to Waste Management in High Mountains in Nepal, supported by ICIMOD, implemented by CLEAN UP NEPAL in coordination with Gosaikunda Rural Municipality गोसाईकुण्ड गाउँपालिका and Langtang National Park, with the aim of fostering sustainable tourism and preserving the natural beauty of Langtang.
