On 1st March 2025, we successfully conducted the 14th River Clean up Campaign along the <\/a>Bagmati River corridor in Kathmandu. With the dedication of 66 volunteers and the support of 23 community members, we made a significant impact together!<\/p>

Through our collective efforts, we removed a total of 1,572.217 kg of waste, including:<\/p>

\"\u267b\" Plastic: 880.397 kg<\/p>

\"\ud83d\udc55\" Textiles: 52.2 kg<\/p>

\"\ud83c\udf7e\" Glass: 108.08 kg<\/p>

\"\ud83d\udeae\" Mixed waste: 531.54 kg<\/p>

This clean-up not only restores our rivers but also strengthens community engagement in waste management. Every small effort counts towards a cleaner, healthier future. Let\u2019s continue working together to protect our environment! \"\ud83c\udf0e\"\"\ud83d\udc99\"<\/p>

The campaign is part of the RIVER+ project funded by the Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia<\/a> Project, implemented by the South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme<\/a>, supported by World Bank<\/a>, and with implementing support from UNOPS<\/a>. The project is led by Biocomp Nepal<\/a> in partnership with People in Need Nepal<\/a> and CLEAN UP NEPAL<\/a>.<\/p>
