Diwakar Adhikari is from Kathmandu, Nepal and is currently leading the Nepal Waste Map program through which he is striving to establish accountability, communication and collaboration in the waste sector between government entities, private waste management companies and the public. He believes that working in harmony as a team can help explore each other more and reach a potential where not many people or teams have reached. He is constantly trying to bring about transformation in the way people look at waste and pollution.
He was formerly associated with ECCA (Environmental Camps for Conservation Awareness) where he worked towards improving the school environments through WASH related activities. He has also contributed by spreading awareness among school children on the negative impacts of environmental abuse, including possible solutions to reduce the impacts. He has worked with the both urban and rural schools all around Nepal to emphasize global awareness and action associated with Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, Waste Management, Nutrition, School Club Management and Life skills. As an Environment Science graduate, he is updated about the world events and ensures people are aware as much as possible about sustainable lifestyles.
