Promoting Upcycled Product for Sustainable Environment

With the aim to reduce illegal dumping and open burning of plastic waste, Clean up Nepal has been providing 10 days long training to make upcycled products to various communities, so far we have trained 98 women at 9 locations. This is also an initiative to support and empower women in rural communities to earn and contribute towards their family income using their skills. In order to achieve this, we are doing our best to market their products. In the past two weeks, we had a stall at Planet Nepal, Festival of Arts and Environment and at Nepal International Marathon Event and have raised around NRs. 7000 for them. This money will directly go to these women and we feel it is a good start!
It is a part of Clean up Nepal’s Up-cycling Program and is generously funded by the Nepal Earthquake Recovery Appeal (NERA).
