Tree Plantation to mark Earth Day 2017 | Green up Nepal Campaign for 2017 kicks off | 22 April 2017

Green up Nepal is an initiative of Clean up Nepal that started in 2016 to encourage and empower youth groups, individuals, organizations and other stakeholders to plant more trees in urban areas of Nepal to combat the carbon concentration in the atmosphere.

This year, the Green up Nepal campaign kicked off on Earth day and will run until the end of the monsoon season. The Clean up Nepal team along with Kosis group and a group of volunteers planted 50 trees of 5 different species at Sunakothi Lalitpur. Clean up Nepal will plant trees throughout the monsoon on behalf of various individual donors and our Green Partner, Laundromat.

To contribute your part to support the Green up Nepal campaign, you can donate trees and we will help you plant them. We will also work with local groups to ensure they are taken care of with regular watering, weeding, and mulching. The trees will also be geo-tagged enabling you to see the details of your tree online.

Let us heal this planet, one tree at a time!
