The annual nationwide cleanup is in its FOURTH YEAR! REGISTER here!
Building on the success of our nationwide cleanups in 2013, 2014, and 2015, Clean up Nepal 2016 will be held at locations throughout Nepal on Saturday, 17 September 2016 from 7am to 11am. The Nationwide Cleanup Day 2016 is affiliated to the Clean up the World campaign that engages an estimated 35 million volunteers in 130 countries each year. We extend an invitation to you and your organization to partner with us and actively participate in a cleanup in your neighborhood. This year we aim to engage 100 000 individuals at 300 locations throughout the country.
With this event, Clean up Nepal aims to connect, engage and empower local communities, community groups, educational institutions, businesses, and local governments to join the clean up movement in order to address local environmental issues in a simple and visible way. These annual nationwide cleanups are a demonstration of communities and groups all over Nepal leading the cleaning and maintenance of the environments they live, work and play in. It is quite simple– register as a local or national partner to facilitate mass cleanup events in your city. These joint visible, positive actions will influence and educate others in our communities, and will provide inspiration to care for the environment.
Our nationwide cleanups are supported every year by the Australian Embassy in Kathmandu and a growing number of organisations and groups throughout Nepal.
